10.2 Closing Address

Closing Words of the Superior General

Dear brothers,

As we come to the end of these ten days, we are not closing a chapter, but opening new paths. Paths we have begun to walk together here in Rome, in the warmth of the Heart of Jesus, in this space where our stories, our challenges, and our dreams have come together.

This has been a time of deep encounter: with our spirituality, with our responsibilities as leaders, with the concrete realities of our entities, and above all, with ourselves and with one another. We have prayed, reflected, learned, shared — and even laughed. We have experienced what it means to walk together in communion, discerning with communal wisdom and an open heart.

In each of the themes — from visionary leadership, team collaboration, stewardship of resources, protection of the most vulnerable, to the art of supporting one another amid challenges — we have touched something essential in our mission. All of it has been infused with the Spirituality of the Heart: Encounter, Intimacy, Conversion, and Mission.

Today we give thanks for this space, for those who facilitated it, and for those who inhabited it with such honesty and fraternity. And we give thanks for the Spirit who has been weaving us together as one body.

May what we have lived here not remain here. May our communities feel the echo of these days when we return. May we continue to grow as leaders with heart — able to sustain and inspire, to listen and transform, to walk with hope alongside our people.

Now we prepare ourselves for the Eucharist and for our sending forth. As pilgrims of the Heart, as leaders on the way, as brothers in mission.

Thank you all. And thank you to the Heart of Jesus, who has called us together and now sends us out.
