Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As you know, the Education Commission of our two Unions (UISG and USG) organizes annually an Educator Training Seminar, aimed at reflecting on the main challenges of our educational mission, and offered to those responsible for Education of our Institutions and to people with a significant role in the promotion and coordination of our mission.
Considering the positive experience of the last seminars, this year we will also do it online. This year’s seminar will be dedicated to reflecting on one of the greatest educational challenges we have at the moment: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.
The title of the seminar, as we say, will be as follows: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, AN EDUCATIONAL CHALLENGE.
We will work on it according to three fundamental keys:
a) First, we will delve into the “culture of care”, reflecting on the competencies of a “leadership that cares”. We believe that this key should guide all the educational challenges we set ourselves. We will work on this topic with the guidance of Professor Luis ARANGUREN, associate professor of Ethics at the Complutense University of Madrid.
b) Second, we will try to “understand artificial intelligence”. We will dedicate time to a proper understanding of this challenge, with the help of Professor Cristóbal COBO, researcher, a specialist in Educational Technologies.
c) Thirdly, we will seek to delve into “how Artificial Intelligence transforms education”. To do this, we will work with the Professors Nello CRISTIANINI (AI specialist at the University of Bath, Great Britain) and Paola INVERARDI, director of the Gran Sasso Scientific Institute, Italy).
We offer you some basic information:
DATES: 14, 15 and 16 November, in online mode
SCHEDULE: From 14:00 to 17:00, Rome time
RECIPIENTS: People with a significant profile in the coordination and management of our mission, proposed by you. We propose that each Congregation can participate with a group of between 5 and 8 people.
PRICE: 60 euros per person
LANGUAGES: English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
REGISTRATION: Participants must not register personally, but institutionally: it is the Congregation, by the system it deems appropriate, that decides who participates and registers them. We seek, among other things, to guarantee an adequate return of the work of the Seminary in the life of the Institution.
