As the Northern hemisphere slowly resumes activities after the summer break, this month’s Newsletter highlights the Commission’s continuing engagement across diverse regions and contexts. A new three-part series on canon law explores how accountability and support mechanisms can be strengthened within the Church; in Ukraine, safeguarding initiatives are being reinforced with direct backing from the Commission; leaders across Africa are advancing child protection through the Memorare Initiative; and in India, Commission members have worked alongside the Divine Word Missionaries on the frontline of safeguarding in Maharashtra. Together, these developments reflect both the breadth and the depth of our mission to embed safeguarding in every corner of the Church.

Church in Ukraine Strengthens Child Protection with Backing from Commission

ROME — The Commission has launched a special grant funding initiative in Ukraine to reinforce child safeguarding practices in Catholic pastoral and educational settings.
