The Centre for Safeguarding Minors and Vulnerable Persons at Saint Paul University announces the creation of a new graduate-level interdisciplinary microprogram in safeguarding minors and vulnerable persons.
Prevention Through Formation
The graduate microprogram is designed to provide a holistic understanding of the many dimensions of sustaining a safe environment. It will enhance the skills of persons now charged with safeguarding and will assist others to develop those skills. It will be especially helpful for those managing, supervising, and safeguarding schools, parishes, dioceses, charitable institutions, health care facilities, and other places where minors and vulnerable persons gather. The program provides privileged access to an international and interdisciplinary network of experts in safeguarding.
Study anywhere, anytime, and at your own pace
The graduate microprogram consists of three graduate-level courses (9 units), offered in Fall 2022 and Winter 2023. Detailed program requirements can be found here.
The microprogram can be completed entirely online, following synchronous and asynchronous program delivery methods.
Note: Courses will only be delivered in French in the 2022-2023 academic year. Courses will be offered in English in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Graduate Diploma in Ecclesiastical Administration
The microprogram may also be pursued together with the Graduate Diploma in Ecclesiastical Administration (GDEA). This program option combines the microprogram and 2 additional graduate-level courses, offered by the Faculty of Canon Law.
